My collection Does Fish-God Know was a massive shift that although experimental in places, pushed me beyond the first stages of sketching directly from life.
It’s exciting to see ourselves and others taking leaps. I start afresh at the beginning of every year regarding my own work. Always be a student, that’s what I say about myself!

I’m reminded of Ted Hughes and his wonderfully rich children’s poetry and stories.
I can imagine a broken down barn with farm machinery all looking like a complex dinosaur from either this world or another one.
And beautifully finished with ‘wind clatter’ which is both brilliant and highly accurate!
Not only should this go into a journal but be anthologised.

Online there is Does Fish-God Know, available via Amazon. The other earlier books aren’t available online.
I do have three collections in development, but my priority is “Writing Poetry: the haiku way” for later this year, which I’ll make available online.
I’m really excited about the book which will finally be out, after many years in the making, but there’s no official date yet.
But there’ll be an announcement on both the Call of the Page website, and on Area 17.
